Used Bikes I purchased my current bike used. The main reason for that is that I could not justify spending $4000 on a bike so I hit the buy-n-sell. The best sources I found for used downhill bikes were www.nsmb.com and www.pinkbike.com. Be sure to do your homework though. There are a lot of used bikes out there selling for far more than they are worth. Also, before buying a bike, be sure to get it checked out at a bike shop. It does not cost a lot but it can save you a lot of grief later. After all, you are looking to buy a used downhill bike. These are machines that take a sever beating every time they are used. Look for cracks, abnormal wear, non-stock parts, etc.
